don’t understand how people go crazy and nasty for few words…
especially since I have the impression that there is not much tolerance
in the English vocabulary.. all the words seem racist :
- “Oriental” is racist.. (but this is the contrary of occidental…right ?)
- “Gypsy” is racist.. (the real french word is “gitan” but “gitan” is absolutely not racist in France, I have many gitan friends, and “gitan” it’s different of “romani/roms” and “tzigane”…moreover the “gitan” people don’t like to be compare to the romani/roms…so I thought that the perfect equivalent was “gypsy”…Lady Gaga has made a beautiful song which was called “Gypsy”…but you said it’s a slur ? …why ? Explain me…)
But, I can understand that maybe “oriental” and “gyspy” can by racist in your culture… but why Chocolate and Cookies are suppose to offend people ?
I absolutely hate to use the terms "white people” and “black people”, especially the term “black people” because in my point of view the “black people” are not black but brown, so give them a darker color than their real color.. I find it’s wicked… And to not offend them I prefer compare their skin with positive things, like chocolate ! …it’s better than being compared with the shit right ? …right ? … tell me that it’s right… please.. Also I saw that you say a lot “dark skin”/“dark people”, but it shocks me to call them “dark” because dark = darkness.. but it’s more racist to compare brown people with chocolate than compare brown people with darkness ? I really don’t understand… And when I say “tanned people” I was told that I “whitewash” them..
I’m really lost between my French culture and the English culture, I use Google Translate … (but I feel that Google Translate is as lost as me x_x) … so it’s very hard for me to know what is racist and what is not racist… I don’t want to offend anyone :’( !… I love everyone T-T ♥ …but I accumulate lot of errors… and it frustrates me… Especially when you tell me that “chocolate is racist”.. and all sorts of other delicious things… it really shocks me… if you don’t like being compare to positive things… what are the real good - english - words to describes the different kind of populations ?
It frustrates me to lose followers and be hating every day because I’m misunderstood.. (well I better understand Raven now.. haha^^)
All I ask are answers and corrections, instead of nasty messages which say that I’m racist…bird shit…mayonnaise… (but I love mayonnaise.. ‘-’) …could you do that for me please ?

I don’t know if I’m the only one to think this, but when I saw her beautiful green eyes, her tanned skin and her long wavy hair, I immediately thought of Esmeralda *_* ! So I’m sure Justine is romani :’) !
Even if she will not be one of my favorite characters I think it’s good that there is now a POC romani ! Because In this way, the romani people will recognize themselves thanks to Justine. Now I wait for more Asian characters…
But you can’t complain of the lack of POC at this stage of the serie.. (or you would really seek shit… humm, I don’t know if you say that ? ..But whatever after you have understood my thinking^^)

I came into the fandom to share with people my love for EAH, and many related stuffs, fanarts, videos, gifs, dolls photos, humor, but also my opinions…
The problem is that sometimes people misinterpret your opinions, and you can frighten and being insulted just for a misunderstanding…
But you know that you didn’t want the wrong for nobody, on the contrary, you would like everybody to be happy.. if only people could better understand your thinkings…
Luckily you have some support, and it gives you smile to know that some people don’t think you’re a wrong person..
But whatever after what people think about Me.. You say I’m a “cookie” ? Well I tell you that I’m not a cookie. But if I was a cookie, well I’d be proud to be a cookie because I prefer being a delicious cookie rather than being a disgusting human - like you ! (no, not You♥, but You who call me as a “dumb cookie” without really knowing me.)
So I’m a Ginger ! I express myself, and I try to show that I’m not a “dumb cookie”. If you don’t love me and don’t understand me, well I don’t force you to follow me. But I didn’t insulted you, so don’t insult me, please.
I will never understand the problem about the comparison on Ginger as a cookie.. (WTF x_x ?)
Personally,
I say that I love the color of skin of Ginger because I find that it’s
well thinking that the daughter of the Candy Witch has a skin
reminiscent the chocolate (or coffee/milk chocolate) …but I just got a
complaint because I compared Ginger to the color of the chocolate
o_o’… Cookies and chocolates are delicious things, I don’t
understand how it’s negative… Explain me, because I’m lost in all these
conflicts over skin colors…Have a skin reminiscent of delicious things
shouldn’t be a fault, but a pride o.o !

Now you know why I hate the topics about the skin colors/pocs… If you express yourself to say that you don’t agree, people insult you and say you are racist… I’m shocked.. There is like a situation of déjà-vue..
what the hell do you mean by poc should stop complaning? be honest if eah had only two whites and the rest were people of color would you complain? there is a liittle chinese girl i babysit she gets upset that eah has no chinese character at all she now believes that being chinese means being ugly, do you want children of color to think that not being white means that they are ugly? if you do think that than you have no soul
You think that I have no soul… To tell the truth, when I watch EAH I don’t wonder about the skin colors of the characters. I see EAH as a series in which everybody can recognizethemselves, not “just for white people”, but for all people from around the world !
And I don’t think Mattel choose skin colors “without reason”, I see some reasons on skin color of some characters : For example there are some characters who are forced to be white because it’s specific to their tales (especially Apple White and Bunny Blanc). Then there are characters who are black because it’s related to their tales even if the tale is not a “black tale” (Cedar Wood, related to the color of the trees, Ginger related to the color of chocolate) and I think it’s well thinking !
And after you complain that there are no POC at EAH whereas there are already lot of POC at EAH : Briar & Rosa’ are POC, they are Spanish/Latinas, Melody is a POC too, I can’t define her country-origin(maybe indian ?), but she has a tanned skin too, Justine Dancer is a POC too ! (why people are angry when Mattel introduced Justine Dancer a new Poc ? I don’t understand..) and my favorite POC is the daughter of the Snow Queen (also well thinking, because it’s true that I wished she will have a skin white as snow, but I like the fact that she has tanned skin as Inuit people) and there are many other backgrounders who are POC too !
So I don’t understand why people complain .. there are plenty of colorful characters at EAH ! And there will be others, I’m sure ! And indeed you do the remark about the chinese-characters who are still not at EAH, but I’m sure when Mattel will introduce characters from Asian tales there will be chinese/japanese/asiatic-characters ! (Eg I look forward for a daughter of Princess Kaguya, and maybe of Mulan too *^* !) Same for West Indian and African tales, I’m sure that Mattel will introduce characters of tales maybe less known but from around the world to EAH ! (you know, like at MH now there are characters of less known monsters from around the world, like my 2 favourites Honey Swamp & Marisol Coxi, for exemple)
So all that to say that I don’t understand the complaints, you just have to be patient and tolerant.. you can’t change the characters decided by Mattel, so accept and wait.. I think that Mattel does a beautiful work in EAH, but I find these complaints about POC useless.. I’m sorry to say that..
And so to conclude, I want to say that : Yes,I hate the topics about skin colors/POC, because since “the Beginning of Time” is one of the most troublesome subjects…do you understand more my thinking now ?…no just you “Anonymous” but all those who have read it…
