I totally adored Duchess’s Thronecoming design. The only thing I will say that bugged me was that I felt it was lacking a lot of glamour like the other character’s, which is why I added my own touches to her design :) also I wanted to design a masquerade for her like the doll’s currently out. The feathers took forever @_@

Felt like reblogging one of my older art’s. But when you think about it, she’s not too old I suppose :)

I shouldn't have to buy a book to expect character development from characters just because the animated series refuses to do it. This is what I hate most about kids shows these days. That they only exist to put dolls on the selves. The dolls are nice and seeing them in action are cool too, but it's the characters that makes the shows what they are, right? Seeing their development and having an actual character OUTSIDE their stereotypes is what I want, not for Duchess to COMPLETELY change.

It's not that I dislike Duchess, it's just her fanbase sometimes. I feel like that people justify her actions way too often. Then when someone tries to suggest ways to make her less mean, then someone tries to ruin it. Sometimes I feel like people only like her because she's not a "nice girl" like the others. Girl, I understand that you maybe don’t like Duchess… (for exemple : Personally I hate Raven, but I don’t think Raven is boring…and I think Bunny is boring, but I don’t hate her…) I understand that people who don’t like Duchess don’t like her because she acts bitchy sometimes…but that what makes her MORE interesting than the “typical pretty princesses”…

If everybody acts always good, it would be so boring, Duchess is one of these characters who “stand out” from the others, and I basically think if bitches act bitchy it’s everytime because they have different opinions, and they are not afraid to express themselves. I admire them for that.
We just have to understand their goals to appreciate them.
