A lot of people have been asking about Crystal Winter’s skin tone. Here’s a picture of Crystal next to the other dolls with abnormally colored skin. She actually looks normal, in comparison. Am I missing anyone? Is there anyone else you’d like to see her picture beside?
I still have a problem with that Crystal Winter (cause I still prefer that cute background snow girl as the real daughter of the Snow Queen) but wow these four are so well matched together *.* ! It can be an OT4 ?!
So @whipped-air and I were talking about how the backgrounder looks more like Crystals parents and we came up with a head cannon that the backgrounder is Crystal’s little sister! It could totally work!

She is a bit too tan … but otherwise she indeed resemble more the background. ..maybe it was a way to get away from Mattel telling NO for the release of the background. .. since the parents won’t be released ..they could made look like the Background Snow Girl instead ;-) lol
Well we also though that because she goes to EAH she would get tan and sunburned a lot.
I’m still disgusted than the Backgrounder girl isn’t Crystal, because for me, she was perfect !
I don’t really like the official Crystal Winter because even if she has a cute head, she isn’t more original than the backgrounder girl for me.
I mean, first look at their outfits : The Backgrounder girl has a more royal dress than the official Crystal Winter, so looks like more a Snow Princess. But Crystal’s outfit looks like more a ski outfit ^_^
And you think the backgrounder girl was too tan for being the daughter of Snow Queen ? Well look at these people :
They live in the cold and they are tan. So I was completely in love by the idea that the Snow Queen daughter will be tan too, I think it was a great innovation !
Also I love the fact the backgrounder girl has a design different of Abbey from Monster High (thanks to her skin but also more “white/gray” color theme, and it was very great)
So this is very for all these reasons I’m very disapointing that the official Crystal Winter isn’t the backgrounder girl. She is less original physically, and I can’t understand why Mattel do bakcgrounders who really looks like fairytale characters but aren’t -____-’
I love Snow King & Queen designs, except their skins, it’s strange they are white caucasian with platinium blond hair, but Crystal has a gray-light skin with light-blue hair… as if Crystal was adopted… (maybe not but I think it’s strange)

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!! And the playset doll has a molded top! Ick and molded tights too….. Nooooooooooo!! And so that wasn’t actually Faybelle on the cover in the corner of the boxes.
BUT - CAN - SOMEONE EXPLAIN ME WHY MATTEL DO BACKGROUNDERS WHO SEEMS TO BE FAIRYTALES CHARACTERS BUT FUCKING AREN’T ??!!!!
