Bunny Blanc’s doll is adorable. I can’t stand the hate she’s getting, it’s unfair especially because the ONLY REASON people don’t like her is that they got sooooo attached to that piece of fan art(which I do admit is fabulous) but lets be real, if it wasn’t for that fanart absolutely no one would be complaining about Bunny, I’d bet my live on it that everyone would be squeeing over how adorable she is.
She is cute, but I don’t think being attached to a piece of fanart is the only reason people are disappointed with her. The main reason many people are disappointed is that Mattel is continuing to miss opportunities to add more diversity to the line. We’re getting two unnaturally colored characters (Bunny and Faybelle) when they could have given us some PoC characters instead. That, understandably, bothers a lot of people.

That would be a more valid argument if they actually made her white (and I’m talking actually pure white) and not, you know, pink. Skin color != fur color. Bunny’s hair, which is white, is more than enough to indicate that she is the white rabbit. Her skin could be any color they wanted to make it and she would still obviously be the white rabbit because of her hair and clock motif. If the white rabbit can have pink skin, she could also have brown skin.
No one is going on a rampage here, just expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that Mattel is continuing to miss opportunities to make characters PoC when it would be very easy to do so. Note, I also did not say that Bunny should absolutely be a PoC, I said they should give us more PoC characters before they give us ones with unnatural skin tones. That could mean giving us Ice Girl, Blue Girl, or Aladdin/Orange Girl instead of Bunny or Faybelle.
We also now have way more characters from Alice in Wonderland than any other story. I love Alice in Wonderland, but I think they should explore more stories in the line rather than giving us a bunch of characters from the same one. That’s another reason some people are disappointed with Bunny. There are also established characters like Melody, Lily, and a bunch of the boys who are really deserving of dolls, but we’re getting a bunch of characters that haven’t even appeared in the cartoon yet instead. Another reason for disappointment.

But.. why - everybody - wanted - Bunny Blanc - to have - a brown skin ‘.’ ?!

The White Rabbit was white… well this is not racist, I love the fact that Cedar is tanned like the woods, I love the fact that Ginger is tanned like the chocolate, the fact that the daughter of the Snow Queen is tanned like the inuit people, ~~and the fact that Rosabella Beauty is tanned like the the fur of the Beast~~, but Bunny BLANC ‘-’ ? Why do you want she to be tanned ?
It’s like wishing that Apple White was tanned too..

Personnally I adore the official design of Bunny Blanc, she is very cute for me ♡

Yea I am a bit disappointed, Bunny Blanc look so non wonderlandish… Alistair is sorta cute but… They are both so plain… I am so glad I am making my own Bunny Lapin doll. On the other hand, I am loving Darling, she looks like a warrior Cinderella XD
But most of the new dolls are pale so I know there is gonna be all that racism war again… And I aint gonna meddle in that! * Ducks and takes cover*
Though i did like pretty much every fanart piece of Bunny more, I do still think official Bunny has a cute outfit. Alistair on the other hand…
The “Bunny Lapin” name is silly because it’s the repetition of two other words for say “rabbit” x’) …and the “concept-art” of Bunny Blanc was a fan-art^^ …personnally I’m very happy that she is like that officially.
And “Hunter Huntsman” and “Apple White” isnt silly?
Bunny Lapin was one of the name that Mattel actually applied for trademark along with Bunny White. All names tries to follow this rule in EAH.
Also, I know that “concept art” was fake, cuz you know what? I designed her! I was the one who put her out as an aprils fools joke. So I also knew that she couldn’t be anything like my Bunny, but that didnt stop me from wanting the official one to look like she actually was from Wonderland!

I didn’t insult your art, your April Fool was really hexcellent, very realistic, really.
But I don’t see how we can love the name “Bunny Lapin” ..
But you’re right for “Hunter Hutsman” I’m French so I didn’t understand right away the ridiculous of that name too.
After “Apple White” is as silly than “Snow White” xD … but it’s class to say :‘3 !
