Frozen AU: Ever After High
Anna and Elsa are the daughters of Kai and the Snow Queen. No one knows that the two fairy tale characters fell in love, and the girls are not told of their mother. One day, when they’re young, Elsa uses her magic and accidentally hurts Anna. Kai, realizing Elsa’s destiny is to be like her mother, separates the girls, having Anna’s memory of the incident erased and sending Elsa off to live with and learn from the Snow Queen.
Anna grows up missing her older sister, having no idea why she left her alone. She readies herself to take her father’s role as Kai, while having no idea who the Snow Queen who will eventually whisk her away is.
Elsa grows up lonely and sad in her mother’s ice palace. She is reluctant to use her powers and hurt people (especially her beloved sister) again. When she enters high school, she keeps her head down and doesn’t make friends, ignoring or avoiding her sister whenever she sees her.
